Hello, I'm Alara. I am an expert dietitian and expert psychologist. I received my undergraduate education at Yeditepe University between 2015-2019. During my undergraduate education, I completed the Nutrition and Dietetics and Psychology departments as a double major. During this period, I did internships as a dietician and psychologist in many hospitals (e.g. Çapa Medical Faculty, Florence Nightingale) and private clinics. After my undergraduate education, I was accepted to Beykent University, Department of Clinical Psychology with a full scholarship. During my master's degree, I attended Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Training affiliated with DATEM. After completing my compulsory internship at the French Lape Hospital, I moved to England for my second master's degree. I completed the Clinical Nutrition and Eating Disorders master's program at University College London in the 2021-2022 academic year with outstanding success. During my master's degree, I worked as an observer student in the child-adolescent and adult eating disorder services of Orchards Health and Family Center. In my counseling process, I work with children, adolescents and adults who are actively struggling with impaired eating behavior and eating disorders. I continue CBT training under the Association of Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapies, which offers European Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (EABCT) approved training.

During my undergraduate studies, I completed dual majors in Nutrition and Dietetics and Psychology. Throughout this period, I undertook internships as a dietitian and psychologist in various hospitals (i.e. Çapa Hospital, Florence Nightingale Hospital) and private clinics. After completing my undergraduate education, I received a full scholarship to the Clinical Psychology Department of Beykent University. During my master's studies, I participated in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy training affiliated with DATEM. After completing my mandatory internship at French Lape Hospital, I moved to the UK for my second master's degree. During the 2021-2022 academic year, I completed the MSc Clinical Nutrition and Eating Disorders at University College London with a distinction degree. As a part of my education, I have been in the child-adolescent and adult eating disorder services at Orchards Health and Family Center as a placement student. In my counseling practice, I actively work with children, adolescents, and adults struggling with disordered eating behaviors and eating disorders. I continue my education in CBT through the Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapies Association, which is accredited by the European Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies.
