Gülsüm is a specialist in the field of special education with extensive knowledge and experience. She began her education at Dokuz Eylül University in the Special Education department, where she gained experience in identifying children’s educational needs and creating personalised educational programmes. Gülsüm takes a comprehensive approach to child development, particularly focusing on supporting the developmental needs of children aged 0-3. She also works on effective solutions for issues such as adapting to school during infancy and childhood.

Gülsüm has in-depth knowledge in areas such as behaviour disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), language and speech disorders, and Down syndrome. She is also specialised in topics like the transition to supplementary foods, screen use, parental guidance, and sensory integration. Additionally, she provides effective solutions for sibling rivalry, autism (Autism Spectrum Disorder), specific learning difficulties, special educational needs (SEN), sleep issues, nail-biting, toilet training transitions, and eating problems.

She played a significant role in the Turkey-EU "Autism" Project, earning an honorary certificate for her contributions. She also established her own school in İzmir, where she served as the founding director.

Since 2020, Gülsüm has been actively working in the UK in the field of special education. She has received training in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), ADHD Awareness, Autism Awareness, Paediatric First Aid, and DIR Floortime. She successfully completed the Floortime 201 training and obtained the 3rd level DIR Floortime Advanced Practitioner Certificate. She aims to become a trainer in this field.
