In short, I have been working in the field of mental health in different positions both in Turkey and England for 30 years.
I use different approaches such as cognitive and behavioral therapies, family systems therapy, and culture- and belief-sensitive counseling according to the needs of the clients. In this sense, I also add additional supportive methods such as relaxation exercises, awareness, nutrition and coaching to my work.
Who I work with: I work with women, men, young people and couples.
The topics I work on include depression, anger, anxiety, stress, insomnia, identity problems, sexual identity confusion, marriage and relationship problems, obsession-compulsive disorders, eating problems, grief and death. Additionally, some severe mental illnesses are suitable for receiving psychological support.
In addition, I can also work on more social and spiritual issues such as possession, refugees and their problems, minority issues, substance use, existentialist questions and problems.
I can provide my consultancy services for long and short periods over the internet, by phone or via email, and face to face if requested.
In terms of professional practices, I attach great importance to issues such as the confidentiality, well-being and security of meetings and my clients. Regarding these, the professional organizations of which I am a member are as follows:
