Nur Yanyalı is a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and holds the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC). She is currently completing a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology (DCounsPsych) at the Middlesex University / New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling. Upon completion of her doctorate, she intends to apply for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Counselling Psychologist.
Nur works with adults and couples in private practice and clinical placements, providing psychotherapy and counselling under supervision. Her core therapeutic model is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which she integrates with existential, relational, and trauma-informed approaches. She has particular experience supporting individuals presenting with anxiety, low mood, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship challenges, and significant life transitions. She is also developing a special interest in couple therapy.
Nur has clinical experience working with neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). Her work in this area focuses on understanding individual strengths and challenges, offering tailored psychological support, and providing psychoeducation within a respectful and collaborative therapeutic framework.
Her professional experience spans a range of hospital, community, and voluntary settings, including Moodist Hospital, Vizyon Psychiatry, Ohana Centre, and Age UK. Through these roles, she has worked with clients across the lifespan and from diverse cultural and social backgrounds, contributing to multidisciplinary teams and adapting her therapeutic approach to meet individual needs.
Nur offers therapy in English and Turkish. Her practice is evidence-based, ethically grounded, and culturally sensitive, providing a safe, reflective, and supportive space in which clients can explore difficulties, develop insight, and work towards meaningful and sustainable change.
