I have been working as a clinical psychologist in Turkey for over 10 years and am actively involved in both training clinical psychologists and the treatment processes. After graduating from Ege University, Department of Psychology in 2009, I completed my master’s degree in Health-Oriented Clinical Psychology and my Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. In 2017, I completed my doctoral internship at the University of Central Lancashire, where I conducted a research project on the mental health of immigrant women living in England. Additionally, I have participated in many international projects. I am currently involved as a researcher in the project called Multi-Sectoral Responses to Child Abuse and Neglect in Europe, which includes the participation of 34 countries. I earned the title of Associate Professor in the field of Clinical Psychology in 2023. As a Chartered Psychologist registered with the British Psychological Society, I have been practising in England since 2023.
As the Deputy Coordinator of Psychological Support Studies in Disasters for the Turkish Psychologists Association, I provide training to psychologists who volunteer to serve in disasters and take part in field coordination following the Kahramanmaraş Earthquake. I also provide supervision to clinical psychology graduate students. My expertise extends beyond the therapy room, covering trauma, anxiety and stress-related issues, adverse childhood experiences, and the mental health effects of interpersonal violence. With over a decade of clinical experience in this field, I offer my knowledge and expertise to support individuals on their journey to recovery and resilience. I believe in a holistic approach that combines evidence-based treatments with a personalised understanding of each individual's unique circumstances, and I shape my clinical practice within this context.
