Obsessive Compulsive (Child)

It is characterized by thoughts, impulses, and images that enter the mind in a compelling way (obsessions) and accompanying tension-relieving behaviors (compulsions). In childhood, similar to adulthood, contamination, contamination obsessions and cleaning compulsions are most common.

Apart from this, symmetry, harm, uncertainty, religious and sexuality-themed obsessions and accompanying compulsions can also be seen. Genetic, hereditary and neurobiological factors are important in the development of the disorder. Cognitive behavioral psychotherapy and medication are beneficial in treatment.
