Social Anxiety (Child)

It is a disorder in which neurobiological and environmental factors play a combined role. The person constantly experiences concerns about being criticized, disliked and disgraced when making a presentation to the public in a new environment, or being involved in social environments.

Because of these concerns, the child has difficulty making friends, cannot show himself in classes, and has difficulties in social and academic areas. Over time, the person's self-esteem may deteriorate further, and depression and other anxiety disorders may accompany the situation. The disorder can be treated with psychotherapy and medication.
